Pilates is a style of exercising with a mind-body approach. It works to develop the deep postural core muscles and enhance normal movement, with the aim of helping people to become more efficient in their daily activities and less prone to future pains and injuries. A large proportion of people that we see experience chronic lower back pain, weakness through core and breath holding. These elements are all considered and worked on within our Pilates exercise programme.
Our course is adapted to suit the needs of people in our community by using plinths, chairs and other equipment to facilitate movements. This layering of exercises allows everyone to find the correct intensity level for them. Participants have rated our Pilates programme an impressive 4.8 out of 5 for meeting their exercise needs.
