Connect Up Event Community Volunteer

Support the Connect Up Co-ordinator with hosting off-site activities and tasks.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead and host on events in your local area
  • Contacting potential participants in advance (e-mail and telephone)
  • Confirming details with participants (as required)
  • Welcoming participants
  • Contacting anyone who hasn’t arrived
  • Ensuring all participants are involved and included

Skills and qualities needed

  • Warm, personable person
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Empathy
  • Reliability
  • Able to get to off-site locations

Support and training provided

  • Induction to NMC and the role
  • Ongoing training relevant to the role
  • Named supervisor for guidance and support

Volunteers must follow NMC’s policies (including safeguarding, data protection, and health & safety).
