We’ve had an incredible few months of fundraising, with some truly fantastic people braving the skies to take on the ultimate challenge and raise vital funds for NMC!
So much so that we’re delighted to announce that Skydiving Day will be joining our Events Calendar next year!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has taken on a challenge and raised funds for NMC along the way. Throwing yourself out of a plane is certainly no mean feat, and your courage, determination and generosity are hugely appreciated.
A special mention must go to our Physio, Emily, and her partner Alex, who took to the skies together and raised an incredible £2,000+ for NMC. What an achievement! Emily has been part of Team NMC for over 5 years now, and in that time has taken on whacky challenges for us including Tough Mudder. We are enormously proud of Emily’s dedication to NMC and our community – thank you!
And then there’s Mark Hudson and Mike Royle…
These two incredible men also took to the skies together and have raised a whopping £3,440 between them so far!
What makes their challenge even more special are the deeply personal reasons they each had for taking part and choosing to support NMC.
Mark is our Site Manager, and his son Jake attends NMC for physiotherapy. Jake is also the Senior Designer for NMC Design+Print, meaning Mark has seen first-hand the life-changing impact NMC has had on his son. ❤️
Mike lives with a neuromuscular condition himself and credits NMC with changing his life when he first came to us for treatment. He is also a long-standing volunteer with our Shed Club, giving his time to support others in our community. 🙏
Their skydiving challenge was a fantastic achievement in itself, but knowing the personal connection they both have with NMC makes their fundraising success even more meaningful.
On behalf of Team NMC, thank you! Thank you for taking to the skies, pushing yourselves to the limit and raising an incredible amount to help us continue making a difference to the lives of people affected by neuromuscular conditions.
And to everyone who has supported them, donated, shared their fundraising pages or taken on a challenge of your own, a heartfelt thank you.
Fancy taking on a personal challenge while supporting NMC at the same time? Whether it’s skydiving, running, cycling or something completely different, we’d love to hear from you!
