On Thursday 18th June, we celebrated a truly incredible milestone – 25 years since our Trusts and Foundations Manager joined our Fundraising team.
Lyndsey is a truly phenomenal fundraiser, raising millions of pounds over the past quarter of a century to support and transform our work. Thanks to her dedication, vision and persistence, we have been able to deliver life-changing projects including The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme, our Connect Up programme of social events, Graphic Design training courses and our Shed Club, to name just a few of the initiatives that make a significant contribution to our community.
Lyndsey also secured funding for our 2017 building extension, which increased our floor space by 70% and created new opportunities including the very first neuromuscular gym in the UK!
Her impact goes far beyond fundraising. Lyndsey helped NMC achieve the prestigious GSK Impact Award in 2015 and has built and nurtured countless meaningful relationships with funders and supporters over the years.
One particularly special relationship is with Sarah Kelly, NMC’s co-founder and Centre Director until 2005. To mark Lyndsey’s 25-year anniversary, Sarah wrote a beautiful tribute, delivered today by our President Matthew Kelly. Thank you to Matthew and Sarah Kelly for their shared commitment and love of Team NMC.
